Real Ale Rio Blanco Pale Ale

3.5 stars average4 ratings • 2 comments

Deep golden and malty, with a spicy hop flavor and a subtle, well-balanced hop bitterness, Rio Blanco is a uniquely Texan interpretation of an English-style pale ale. The addition of Czech hops gives the ale a refreshing crispness and flavor that will satisfy you under the hottest Texas sun.

This is a great pale ale. In fact, this might be my FAVORITE pale ale. It's not overwhelmingly bitter, in fact it's got more than perceptible malt taste. But it's just bitter enough for me. Normally I like to dial it down on the hops and land on the ambers or so, and this one's right about there as far as the M:H ratio goes. It's great. Try it.
